Which skin treatment course should you start with?

Skin treatment qualifications are built in steps. The right first course is the one whose entry rules you already meet.

If you are completely new

The Level 3 Foundation Aesthetic Therapies course is designed for beginners. It covers facial skincare, consultation, relevant anatomy and hygiene, and it asks for no previous beauty or medical qualification.

If you need the science first

The Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology certificate is studied online. Many higher courses ask for Level 3 anatomy and physiology, so people often take it early.

If you already hold a Level 3 qualification

Ask about Level 4 skin rejuvenation, which covers microneedling and chemical peels on live models, and about the Level 6 certificates in chemical skin peeling and skin needling.

Check before you book

Entry rules change from course to course, and some courses recommend a first aid or anaphylaxis certificate. Message us with the qualifications you hold and ask which course fits.
